The Solar Sea Slug Blog is managed by me, Dave Sandstrom. This site serves as something of a notebook as I delve more deeply into the biology of Elysia, and develop the Solar Slug Research Project at the Universities at Shady Grove. The primary purpose of the site is to help me to organize information about Elysia species and their biology, through pages and posts that curate and analyze the scientific literature. Occasionally, you will also find posts about my adventures in the natural world of wild marine slugs.
The site has been a wonderful tool for me. I hope that you find it useful as well.
More information about me and my motivations can be found on the pages below.
They truly are lovely!
Hi!! I have always been very passionate about and compelled by sea slugs (I dressed up as a sea slug for Halloween in third grade). I just wanted to say that your website is wonderful and I’m very happy to have stumbled upon it. Thank you! – an avid nudibranch enthusiast
