Although Elysia species have the same general body plan, looking like a green, ruffly pancake with rhinophores sticking out the front end, each species differs from the others on the basis of physical characteristics, lifestyle, and/or geographic range. Features specific to particular species, and the scientific literature related to them, will be described in the pages below.
