This really is it. After 12 years, 130 posts, almost 50 pages, hundreds of articles posted, and a lot of thought, it is time to shut down solarslug.info. My focus has shifted to the local organisms and arid ecosystems here in northern New Mexico, and progress on the projects and thoughts can be found elsewhere (tdolab.org). Work on mechanisms and consequences of kleptoplasty proceeds at various institutions, and it will be fun to catch up occasionally. Nonetheless, anyone who has visited in the past few years will notice that there have been few updates, and maintenance (such as fixing broken links) has not been happening.
I will be archiving the site in case there is a restore and update it in the future. In the meantime, expect solarslug.info to close on or before June 10, 2026.
Thanks to all for their support.
